In close collaboration with HydroThane, we treat organic wastewater with HydroThane ECSB Anaerobic Reactor, which utilizes granular biomass to digest organic waste into biogas. The facility in the photo, treating 16,000 m3 organic waste water per day, generating 200,000 kWh electricity from the biogas.
In close collaboration with B&C Ultrafiltration, we treat metal cutting emulsions with organic membrane technology to separate emulsions into water and thickened oil. We invest and operate facilities with typical capacity of 5,000-10,000 tons per year each.
In close collaboration with BIOROCK, we provide standard sewage waste water treatment equipment ranging from single house to a village with large installations from coastal areas to Tibet Plateau. The unique feature is non-electric for waste treatment by using the natural force and bacteria in a super smart way.
In close collaboration with CirTec, we make good use of residual heat, often 50-70 Celsius, to process corrosive even hazardous materials. We also improve the production process of heavy industries to reduce overall energy consumption and at the same time improve the production yield with better quality.
In close collaboration with Smit Thermal Solution, we have explored CIGS, CdTe, and Perovskite thin-film solar technologies and production equipment intensively. We are proud of making numerous world records together with our end customers and have paved the way for the industries moving forward.
In close collaboration with Wengfu, we make substantial improvement of HF production from Phosphoric acid production value chain, which is a critical supplement or even replacement of fluorite crystal mine under depletion, for a sustainable fluorine industry.
In close collaboration with LioniX International, Epiphany, PhiX, PhotiX etc, we are very active in integrated photonics, particularly the hybrid integration on top of SiN, which has a large transparency window from 400nm to 2500nm, covering many applications on telecommunication, microwave photonics, bio-photonics, sensing etc.
In close collaboration with Chilas, CSPC, CAVPIC, we develop applications of Chilas narrow linewidth lasers which has a unique combination of kHz narrow linewidth and wide tunability. We have focuses on sensing and high precision instrumentation, which are complimentary to our whole portfolio.
In close collaboration with AMSystem, we join in force in developing high throughput additive manufacturing equipment and processes by applying a large number of parallel exposures with great flexibility of beam control.
In close collaboration with SMIT, we promote vacuum deposition equipment for solar and display markets, the unique feature is super high productivity, i.e. a 2.5m2 substrate can be deposed with good uniformity of thin film at a tact time of 30 seconds.
In close collaboration with SALD, we work on Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition equipment and processes for applications in Solar, Battery and Packaging materials. This process modifies the surface of material at 10nm scale with super high throughput, enabling applications far beyond what is known today.
In close collaboration with Bruker Netherlands, we promote Magnetic Probe, a very fast and cost effective method to characterize Magnetic Tunnel Junctions, which is the core of MRAM, a candidate of mainstream storage solution in the future.
In close collaboration with Celsian, we work on advance control of glass furnaces, which are seeming big conventional industry facilities lacking of state of the art innovations. On the contrary, we apply million grid of full CFD modeling on these large furnaces and couple the modelling with furnace control system to manage the furnaces autonomously for a much smoother operations than experienced operators, saving energy and improving yield and quality.
We are active in innovation ecosystem development in the sectors of integrated photonics, water treatment and photovoltaic. In integrated photonics, we join the initiation of IPSR-I, Integrated Photonics System Roadmap - International, and are involved in leading SiN group. In water treatment, we co-found the international water hubs. In Photovoltaic, we co-organize innovation clusters in CdTe and Perovskite.
We are headquartered in Eindhoven, the renowned open innovation high-tech city with 200 years of industrial evolution, starting from textile and cigar industries to Philips light bulbs, radio and DAF trucks, and then to the invention of TV, cassette tape and CD, and now lithography equipment of ASML laying down the foundation of modern semiconductor chips making. We study the growth of technical companies enabled by open innovation, as well as the history and culture. We give lectures to universities and business schools on open innovation.
